Michael M. Avakian, 84, lifetime resident of the Wrigleyville area of Chicago. Passed away February 16, 2010 . US Navy veteran, serving in the Asiatic Pacific and European African areas during WWII. Beloved son of the late Seranoush nee Tosoonian and Michael Avakian . Loving brother of Lillian (the late John) Hamparian of Geneva, IL, Sonia (Anthony) Sahagian of Auburn, MA and the late Susan (Jerry) Sarkesian Dear uncle of many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Mike was an avid Cubs fan, spending much of his life feet away from Wrigley Field and the fire house. Retired employee of the Illinois Tollway Authority. Family and Friends will be meeting Saturday, February 20th , at The Armenian All Saints Apostolic Church, 1701 N. Greenwood (1/4 mile north of Lake Ave), Glenview 10:30 am until time of funeral service 11:00am. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Michael’s name to The Armenian All Saints Apostolic Church appreciated . Interment Irving Park Cemetery. Arrangements by the M.J.
