Evelyn R. Sparks SCHOBER

Colleen Marilyn Schober, nee McHugh, 56, passed away at Lutheran General Hospital February 10, 2010. Colleen attended Trinity High School (class of 1971); Colleen has been an elite employee of Al Piemonti Ford in Melrose Park for 35 years. As the director of fleet sales she led the department to great success over the years. Colleen was a loving, caring individual who always put her children before herself. Colleen enjoyed traveling out east and visiting her children at their colleges. She had great determination and dedication to everything in her life. She would get up early every morning and walk through the neighborhood rain or shine. She was a very striking put together business woman who commanded a presence when she entered a room. People were drawn to her hearty laugh, great personality and her ability to relate to anyone. She has lived in Edison Park for 26 years. She was a devote member of St. Juliana parish. Colleen is survived by her husband of 30 years, William Schober, her two children, William Ryan Schober (26) and Lauren McHugh Schober (22) and her sisters Susan Ruthaivilavan, Diane Muldowney and Kathleen Reed. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday, February 20, 2010,  11:30 am at St. Juliana Church, 7201 N. Oketo (at Touhy) Chicago, 60631.  In the works is a walk in memoriam of Colleen with proceeds going to cancer research. Please return to this website for information and registration.

Colleen Schober, devote mother, wife, sister and friend passed away February 10th, 2010 from a year long battle with Acute myeloid leukemia (AML). In her honor there is a fund set up at TCF bank (1 Devon Ave Parkridge IL 60068) called “Colleens Cure” with all proceeds going towards AML research. Donations MUST be made through the TCF branch listed above either in person or by mail. When donating mention account number 2440518812 and the name “Colleens Cure”. The money will be donated in July when a walk will be held in honor of Colleen!
