STEFANOWSKI Leo R. Stefanowski, 82, of Wesley Chapel, FL formerly of Chicago. Passed away in Florida, July 26, 2009. US Army veteran of WWII. Retired C.F.D. in 1989 with 27 years of service. Beloved Sweetheart and cherished companion for over 20 years to Mary Hanchar. Loving Father of Dawn (Scott) Lightner, Todd (Laura) and the late Wayne (Jeanne) Stefanowski. Proud Grandfather of Beth, Christina, Jennifer, Morgan, Margaret and the late Michael. Dear Brother of Adeline (Floyd) Glowacki and the late Renold Stefanowski. Leo will also be missed by his many cherished friends. Visitation will be Sunday, August 2, at the M.J. Suerth Funeral Home, 6754 N. Northwest Hwy.(Rand Road), Chicago from 2 to 4 pm.
