Rose Marie Valenzo, nee Rydzenski, 77, passed away September 19, 2009 in Henderson, Nevada. Beloved wife of Ross Valenzo, Jr. Loving mother of Susan (Ralph) Melone, Daniel (Tamy) Gates, Suzette (George) Gibson, David, CFD, (Mary) Gates, Major Mitchell S.,USAF,retired (Lori) Gates and Ross Valenzo, III. Proud grandmother and great grandmother of many. Sister of Edward, Jr., Walter and the late Richard Rydzenski. Step mother of Scott Gates, Victoria Valenzo, the late Gerry Woody, nee Gates and the late Michael Valenzo. Loving aunt, sister in law and special friend to many. She will be greatly missed. Rose was active with Special Needs and Special Olympics programs for over 30 years. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, October 3, 2009 at 1:00 PM at Edison Park Lutheran Church, 6626 N. Oliphant Avenue, Chicago. A gathering for family and friends will follow the Service in the North Hall of the Church until 4:00PM.
