WAPOLE Mary Loretta “Retz” Wapole, born November 18, 1920 in Chicago to Theresa (Keane) Wapole and Francis Wapole. She died March 22, 2010. She was the sister of the late Francis T. (late Virginia Krohn) Wapole. She was the devoted aunt to Michaele (Ernest) Skowron, Sharon (Glen) Phillips, Francis T., Jr. (Patricia Brizz), Roderick (Laura Kroll), Gayle (Chris) Banakis, Brian, and Claire (Jim Conway). She was the loving grand aunt to Jennifer Skowron (Donald) Szczesniak, Andrea Skowron (Daniel) O’Brien, Heather Phillips (Leo) Sinense, Melissa Phillips (Michael) Damewood, Alison Phillips (Karl) Gustafson, Colleen (Michael Pastreich) Wapole, Eric (Karen Ann) Wapole, Frank Wapole, Shannon Wapole, Kathryn Banakis, Ellen Banakis, Margo Banakis, Alexander Conway, Eleanore Conway and Lila Conway. She was the great grand aunt to twelve nieces and nephews. Mary was the godmother of Anne Marie (Stich) Wolf and others. She was a good friend to all who knew her. Visitation Thursday at The M.J. Suerth Funeral Home, 6754 N. Northwest Highway, Chicago 9:00 AM until time of prayers 9:45 AM to Saint Paul of the Cross. Mass 10 AM. Interment All Saints Cemetery.
